大学外语教学研究部是集教学、科研为一体的基层教学组织,内设5个课程组,承担了全校非英语专业学生的大学外语教学任务,被评为校课程思政示范基层教学组织。根据学科专业特点和学生语言水平,采用分层分类教学模式,围绕必修课程和选修课程两大模块,开设英语、日语、俄语等3个语种7门通用外语课程及10余门以“一带一路”国家跨文化商务交际、中国文化英语说、南孔儒学文化等特色外语课程,探索大学外语教学服务地方文化的途径与方式。 本部秉持“注重需求,创新教学,突出应用,强化能力”的教学理念,以学生语言应用能力培养为中心,注重数智化环境下教学平台建设,着力开展大学外语教学实效性研究。不断革新教学方法和手段,培养学生的外语应用能力,增强跨文化交际意识和交际能力,同时发展自主学习能力,提高综合文化素养,使学生在学习、生活和未来工作中能够有效地使用外语,满足国家、社会、学校和个人发展的需要。 Introduction of the College Foreign Language Teaching and Research Department The College Foreign Language Teaching and Research Departmentis a grassroots teaching organization integrating teaching and scientific research. It has five course groups, which are responsible for teaching foreign languages to non-English majors. This organization also serves as a model for teaching courses from the ideological and political perspective. Based on the characteristics of the various disciplines and the needs and language proficiency of different students, the department implements the lamination or classification teaching method. According to the two modules of compulsory and elective courses, it offers seven general foreign language courses in three languages, including English, Japanese and Russian, and more than 10 English courses for special purposes, e.g. Cross Cultural Business Communication along the Belt and Road, Introduction of Chinese Culture, and Introduction of Southern Confucianism in particular, which aim to promote Chinese and local culture. With the teaching philosophy of “focusing on demand, innovating teaching methods, highlighting application and strengthening ability”, the departmenttakes the cultivation of students’ language application ability as the center, intending to meet the diversified development needs of students. Italso pays attention to the construction of teaching platform in the digital environment and focuses on the research of college foreign language teaching effectiveness. Through the implementation of various teaching reform measures, it aims to cultivate students’ foreign language application ability, enhance their intercultural communication awareness and competence, develop their independent learning ability, as well as improve their comprehensive cultural literacy so as to enable them to use foreign languages appropriately and effectively in their study, life and future work and to meet the needs of the country, society, school and personal development. |
